About Us

The Moisturizer Studio was born from a moment of stillness — a personal season of loss, healing, and rediscovery.

In 2019, our founder moved from San Francisco to Atlanta, GA. Just three months after relocating, he experienced the heartbreaking loss of his brother. At the time, he was working as a fitness trainer, but grief made him retreat inward. He no longer felt drawn to public spaces or people-focused work. Instead, he turned his energy inward and into creation.

Having always struggled with sensitive skin and a lack of truly clean skincare options — products without water, alcohol, or harsh fillers — he began studying the art and science of skincare. He immersed himself in essential oils, carrier oils, natural butters, perfumery, product formulation, packaging, and brand design. From the solitude of his apartment, a new purpose emerged.

It all started with beard care. He crafted his first beard oil and balm blends for himself and close friends. When people began raving about the results, he knew he was onto something special. Buoyed by that early success, he expanded into moisturizers and shampoos, developing unique scent profiles that reflect his personal passion for fragrance.

Today, The Moisturizer Studio even partners with a family-owned farm in Texas to source clean, gentle ingredients for our shampoo and conditioner — ensuring every product is as pure and effective as it is luxurious.

What began as a deeply personal healing ritual quickly transformed into a full-fledged studio. His first brand, Nubian Skin Care, laid the foundation, but as the business evolved, he realized a more inclusive name would better welcome everyone.

After successfully selling his coffee business in 2024, he returned to his skincare roots with renewed focus. Now, The Moisturizer Studio stands for something bigger: a clean, welcoming space for every skin type, every tone, and every story. Crafted with care. Designed with intention. Rooted in self-respect and personal ritual.

Welcome to The Moisturizer Studio — where nourishment is a lifestyle, and skincare is the starting point.
